Progress report

A quick update on my training for the St Luke's Walk. I have raised almost £1,000 so far thanks to a very generous donation from Harrow Council's ruling Conservative group and £100 from Herbie Crossman. Several local business groups have also tentatively pledged money so I should have more news soon.

Last week, I received a very kind offer from Harrow Chiropractic Clinic in Lime Court, Gayton Road. Chiropractor Vesna Stekic has not only offered to sponsor me to the tune of £50 but also offered me a free consultation and a course of treatment at a reduced rate.

I had the consultation today and as expected my trouble spots are my neck and lower back. Apparently, this can have quite an affect on my walking as my left side is weaker than the right and one hip is slightly higher than the other! So hopefully by the end of May, I should be fully aligned and ready to go.

My training continues, although any thoughts of walking yesterday were killed off by the terrible weather.

The paper is shaping up slowly this week. At present we have several contenders for the front but I have decided to put off making a choice until tomorrow.
